Freestyle Cornrows in a Half Hawk Design With Beads

Here is the latest style Diva R is sporting :)

Freestyle Cornrows in a Half Hawk/Half Straight design with BEADS BEADS BEADS

This is one of my better styles and needless to say for a 2nd time attempting something like this it turned out amazing! I guess i just got it like that LOL I have done styles like this before but not exactly like this that's why i say it like that.  As far as products are concerned, her hair was washed, conditioned and moisturized with our regular products and then followed up with some Bee Mine Curly Butter as i cornrowed.

Her hair wasn't exactly wet when i braided so i imagine if it was a little more moist the rows would have turned out more perfect :) BUT nevertheless they turned out grand! One key pointer i learned when doing this the first several times was the smaller the rows on thin hair the better they look!

I started on the back half first and that took no time at all. The most consuming part about this sort of style is the parting, its all smooth sailing after the parting is done and i am one to part as i go unless I'm making shapes of specific natures. I just began random parting toward the mid line of her head because i wanted a half hawk type deal on the top. I got this idea from looking through fellow hair blogger/ FB friends of ours albums Kerry, Brooke, Becca and Gretchen :) You ladies ROCK! and are amazing skilled!

All in all with breaks this style took 2 1/2 hours from beginning to end. If the Diva wasn't such an important Diva who's scheduled is just so filled up with playing and being active i could have got it done quicker *_*  She is always on the move and is fidgety if i don't take frequent breaks which is understandable being 4 and all. That's why when i do adults hair its just a field day for me because not many breaks if any are needed and i can keep going and going and going <3 I don't know who appreciates it more me or Diva R? LOL

Here is the re-style a few days later :)

I just touched up a few braids and then switched the accessories out :) The shells came from Curly Princess Hair Boutique and we are just in <3 with them ! We got stopped everywhere by people asking us where we got them and saying how gorgeous they are!

She is still rocking this style now :) We will see how long it lasts without looking raggedy.

This style is really cute. I like how she doesn't have a whole lot of hair in her face. Nice.
