Our Review

Color: Shimmery Gold
Scent: Shea Buttery
Texture/Consistency: Thick medium textured
Cost: Under $7.00 per 13oz

I had previously only tried one product from this line and i was eager to try another :) I went to Meijer and was browsing the hair section as i usually do when i seen this big clearance section. OF COURSE i dove right in! The first set of products i noticed were the Organix line and i couldn't help but ask myself "WHY is it that the GOOD products are always the ones discontinued??" I just don't get that they are always discontinued, being clearances and rid of while these NASTY horribly created filled junk are forever on the shelf. VENT moment >:0

This product retails normally for $6.99 but with the clearance price and an additional $2.00 off coupon i paid only $1.74 plus tax! This was a steal for the 13oz bottle so i had to get it. I chose this one of all because of all the great reviews i have read and because of its SHEA BUTTER ingredient.  I was just getting into gaining knowledge about proper and safe hair care when i bought this.

The scent was nice and shea-ish the color was unique and pretty, it almost had a shimmer to it.  It was a thicker textured shampoo which would need that squeeze to come out of the bottle.  Ive tried some shampoos which have just run right out of the bottle so this was a nice new thicker formulation just by feel. I began using this shampoo with hope of having a better experience with a shampoo and that it will actually cleanse Diva R's hair and be kid friendly at the same time.

As i was applying the shampoo i noticed its great spreadability! This went hand in hand with its rich thickness i was surprised actually because usually the thicker the shampoos the harder it is to spread smoothly with out pulling/stressing on the hair and you tend to have to use alot.  I would say on average we used a quarter size amount, which covered her hair greatly and produced a nice rich bubbly lather. I could really notice the fresh scent when i was lathering. I would leave the shamp in for a few min and then rinse it out.

I used this shampoo on Diva R until it was 3/4 the way gone, this is when we noticed her allergy to nut/tree products and since its so severe we had to discontinue use on her. BUT that is when i began using it on my hair :) I for the most part liked this shampoo for myself other than it was a little thick for my hair and aside from the great results it did give my tresses it was slightly heavy on my hair.  I used it up needless to say.

After Diva R's hair would air dry, using this shamp followed by the Organix Coconut Milk Conditioner her hair would be lovely defined, soft and flowing *_* It was a decent shampoo and one of the best locally available! The price i felt was sort of high at retail value but I'm glad i seen the clearance and had the coupon.  I would say that i liked the Coconut line better than the Shea Butter line.
